Young
Ernest Hemingway once allegedly found himself in a company of his fellow writers
and claimed that he could write a complete story in just six words. Other writers
didn’t believe him but they decided to make the thing interesting. They made a
bet that that was impossible.
Ernest Hemingway
then took the napkin from the table and wrote six words.
He didn’t
want to read it aloud and he gave it to the one sitting next to him. The napkin
circled around the table till the last person read it. They all agreed unanimously
that the six words is absolutely enough to write a complete story.
Those six
words read:
For sale. Baby
shoes. Brand new.
